Strategic Vision
Acción Local is a collaborative platform designed to map and connect programs aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Mexico. Created by GIZ, the UN, and ODS en el Tec, its mission is twofold:
Build a national community centered on sustainable development.
Create an accessible data bank where citizens, organizations, and institutions can find, share, and strengthen SDG-related initiatives.


My Role

Defined a tiered user model.

Designed and implemented an open forum creation tool for registered users, linking topics directly to relevant SDGs for moderation and thematic alignment.

Directed the visual identity and illustration system to highlight rural and community-driven contexts

Research & Definition:
Stakeholder mapping, interviews, and user segmentation.

Design:
Creation of scalable visual components, custom illustrations, and color-coded SDG visual hierarchy

Implementation:
Iterative prototyping, usability testing, and refinement based on feedback from both institutional and citizen-level users.

Impact & Results

~25% increase in forum participation within the first quarter after launch.

Successful mapping of projects from multiple municipalities and private organizations in the first deployment phase.
